Stewardship and Conservation in the San Luis Valley
Thursday, May 19th from 5pm - 6pm MT

Rivers know no property boundaries, and that’s created an ongoing challenge
in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. Channels, like that of the Rio Grande
river in the SLV, are meant to wander, meander, and form anything but a
straight line. These processes create a variety of habitats for fish,
amphibians, mammals, and, of course, birds! However, given land ownership,
property boundaries, water rights, and agricultural production, it’s harder
and harder for humans to work with a wandering river. There’s a careful
balance between happy humans, a happy river, and happy habitat.

Join Bird Conservancy's Private Lands Wildlife Biologist Anna Greenberg on
Thursday, May 19th at 5pm MST to learn about this balance and how folks in
the SLV are working towards its implementation.

The program fee is $3 to attend this webinar.

In order to provide equitable access to all, complimentary tickets are
available at no cost to the participant thanks to support from generous
donors.
