A slow-ish morning with an early close due to heat. Only banded 14 new,
with 2 new returns. (Also captured 11 others that returned for a 2nd or
3rd visit this season.)

Here's the breakdown of the first-timers:

Gray Catbird 3 new, 1 banded 2021
Cedar Waxwing 1 FOS
Yellow Warbler 4 new, 1 banded 2019
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Lincoln's Sparrow 1
White-crowned Sparrow, Mountain 1
Black-headed Grosbeak 1 FOS
Lesser Goldfinch 1 FOS

We are open 6 mornings per week, closed on Mondays. Registration is
required to visit on the weekends - there are three 1 hour sessions,
starting at 7:30, 8:30 and 9:30. Go here
<https://denveraudubon.org/events/> to register. There are school groups
every week day, arriving about 9:30. Individuals may drop by early
mornings during the week although there are groups visiting early on some
days.
