Good afternoon,
I looked up while pulling into my driveway in downtown Colorado Springs
to see an adult Mississippi Kite soaring overhead, a fairly unusual bird
for this part of Colorado. Unmistakable: smallish raptor, pointy wings,
grey belly, black wedge-shaped tail. Last seen at about Willamette and
Cedar around 4:00 PM, drifting east-northeast. Sadly it disappeared when I
ran in to grab my camera.
