Things slowed down today.....only 29 birds banded. There were flocks of Chipping Sparrows coming through; we only managed to catch 7 of them, but that made it the most caught species of the day. Only 6 Wilson's. Here's the breakdown:
Western Wood-pewee 2 Dusky Flycatcher 2 Black-capped Chickadee 1 House Wren 4 Yellow Warbler 3 Common Yellowthroat 2 Wilson's Warbler 6 Chipping Sparrow 7 Song Sparrow 1 American Goldfinch 1 If you'd like to enjoy fall birds up close and personal, please come visit!
