The "late afternoon showers" yesterday started in Brighton about 3 p.m. and did not end until after 6 a.m. this morning. Any birds that could leave yesterday did so, and apparently nothing new arrived. We banded just 10 new birds this morning, and caught 10 others that we had banded sometime in the last week. But we had a fair number of first time visitors today, who enjoyed learning the basics of warblers, sparrows and a few other species. Here are today's 10 new:
