Friends, First, I have not specifically reviewed my footage library for this bird. I've never seen a juv. Rock Sandpiper look this orange on soft parts. The only thing I see which looks like a Rock to me is the color of the underwing. However, I've found this is more variable than indicated. Everything else screams Purple. Congrats this is a great bird.
