The deadline for submission of proposals to receive funds for a bird conservation project from Colorado Birding Challenge donations has been extended to November 30. In 2021, birding challenge funds provided a grant of nearly $35,000 for conservation of grassland bird habitat. This year nearly $40,000 was granted for Gunnison Sage-Grouse habitat restoration.
