Hi All,

Bird Conservancy annually monitors nesting Bald Eagles along the Front
Range, gathering important data needed to protect this important species.
In 2020, Colorado Parks and Wildlife launched a four-year study to help
understand current population trends, habitat use and impacts of human
disturbance on Bald Eagles along Colorado’s densely populated Front Range,
and BCR is partnering with them to help gather the data they need to make
good decisions.

BCR is organizing for the 2023 monitoring season; it starts with training,
via zoom, on Saturday, January 21. Volunteers are then assigned nest(s) to
monitor; the goal is once a week for an hour from February through June.
(We know this is usually not possible, and many nests have more than one
observer assigned.)

If you are interested, please send me an e-mail and I will provide more
detailed information!

Thanks,

Meredith McBurney
