Around 3PM on Saturday 3-4-23 while searching in vain for the White-fronted goose from a terribly rocky road on the north side of Stearns lake I had nice views of a Prairie Merlin both on a fence post and perched in a tree-eventually it flew off to the east after being harassed by two Kestrels but it may still be in the neighborhood….
