Cobirders, For those on the south end of the metro area, the always productive Pelican Pt area at Cherry Creek has been closed to public access for protection of resident breeding species. There is a small sign indicating the area is closed that can be easily missed. The Rangers have been policing the area.
The point can be approached from the Prairie Loop to the west that allows distant views with a scope. But that requires a good pair of rubber boots and trudging a fair distance. There are currently excellent mudflats all along the south shore.
