Activity picked up a bit today; we had a total of 37 new birds (32 banded today, 5 returns from prior years) of 14 species. Yellow-rumped Warblers are down, Yellows are up, including 4 that we banded in prior years. Caught our first Hermit Thrush of the season, arriving almost 2 weeks behind its usual date. No Swainson's yet; they are also late.
