I'm sorry to say we didn't even get a taste of the wonderfully wild banding
activity at Chico! We were rained out on Sunday (third day in a week) and
off on Monday and then today was very slow starting. Picked up a bit as
the morning went on but never got busy......only 24 new and returning birds
caught, most of them likely breeders at Chatfield:

House Wren 1
Swainson's Thrush 1 (yes, just 1, FOS)
Gray Catbird 4 new, 1 banded 2021
Yellow Warbler 4, all returns, 3 banded 2022, 1 banded 2021
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Myrtle 1
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Audubon's 2
Yellow-rumped Warbler, Intergrade 1
Common Yellowthroat 4
Yellow-breasted Chat 2
Western Tanager 1 (FOS)
Green-tailed Towhee 1
Brown-headed Cowbird 1 (FOS)

We will be open Tuesday-Sunday, weather permitting, through the end of
May. Denver Audubon has scheduled one-hour time slots at 7:30, 8:30 and
9:30 for visitors on weekends; visit here
<https://denveraudubon.org/events/> to register. (I believe many time
slots are already sold out, so register soon if you would like to visit.)
