A strange day with cool cloudy morning. Not much action at the banding station and not much singing going on either.
*18 New Banded Birds* Western Wood-Pewee- 4 Least Flycatcher- 1 Lazuli Bunting- 5 Western Kingbird- 1 Yellow-breasted Chat- 1 Swainson's Thrush- 5 Hermit Thrush- 1 *3 Recaptures* Bullock's Oriole- 2 Common Yellowthroat *1 Returning Bird -not from this season* Bullock's Oriole female -at least 3 years old The Banding station will be open tomorrow and Saturday this week. We still have Mon-Friday next week so hoping the migration is not ending this abruptly. Have a great rest of your day!
