Each day is a mystery as to what birds or if many birds will appear in the
nets or around the banding station proper. Very quiet today- the
hummingbirds were active after about 8 AM today. Yesterday hummingbirds
were not active until after 9- 10AM. A couple net checks with zero to 2
birds and then the migrants overnight must have dropped into the olive
grove around 7:30. The day heated up quick so birds quieted down @ 10 AM.
We did catch 15 bird species today.

The Banding Station will be open tomorrow and Saturday from Sunrise to
around 11:30 AM. It looks to be another couple warm days so we will
probably be closing a little early these next couple days. Stop by and
visit the banding station if you are in the area. Have a good day!
