Our low numbers continue as we start Week 4 of the banding season. Caught our first American Goldfinches, late breeders - the female still had a brood patch, while the male was molting into winter plumage. Still have a few Yellow Warblers around, while the White-crowned Sparrows are starting to arrive. Here's today's 19 new birds:
