Hi Leon, all, For a little continental perspective: Mississippi Kites are one of the first species of raptor to pass through the Veracruz (Mexico) River of Raptors fall hawk watch along the Gulf Coast. They are already moving through in good numbers when the hawk watch begins in mid-August.
