With Pomerine Jaeger on my mind, I visited Boulder and Lagerman Reservoirs this morning. No jaegers, but impressive waterfowl and a few late shorebirds.
Lagerman had six Wilson's Snipe, three Long-billed Dowitchers, three Black-bellied Plover, a Greater Yellowlegs, a Least Sandpiper and a dozen or so Killdeer. There were quite a few Northern Pintail, several Canvasback and a lone Wood Duck among 500+ ducks on the water. Boulder Res. had the continuing Pacific and Common Loons and a lone Red-breasted Merganser. Sandhill Cranes continue streaming by...
