Hello all, A single Long-tailed Duck was present today at Ridgway Reservoir. I think this individual represents only the second record for the species in Ouray County (4 Long-tailed Ducks were present on the reservoir Nov. 17, 2021). It was among an estimated 800 ducks of 16 species on the entire reservoir, which was an eight-fold increase in the number of ducks from yesterday. A flock of 92 Snow Goose flew over, but showed no interest in stopping.
