----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on cochindotnet
----------------------------------------------------------- From: spark Message 1 in Discussion Hi, Let me invite you to explore the "DDL", a new langauge which Pooja and I have been working on. Description: The DDL, Data Definition Language, is one that is used to define and read information from complex data/file formats easily. Unlike the SQL concept of data definition, the DDL can be used for handling almost any kind of binary data - we think that, as a language, it is unique in its purpose. You can use the DDL to write scripts that define your data format. Then you use the DDL .net library (System.DDL.dll) in your application to execute the script. The application that host System.DDL will be able to run the DDL interpreter as a part of it, and it can interact with the interpreter to use the DDL script that you wrote and read data from complex data formats. The DDL project homepage is at: http://ddl.sscli.net We are looking forward to some feedback about the DDL, as it has been a (rather huge) effort. Do take a look. We'd prefer to get DDL related feedback at the mail ids: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] Also if you are part of any user groups other than Bangalore and Cochin, do foward the news about the DDL. regards, Roshan James Microsoft MVP .Net ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/cochindotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
