You cannot share session-variables between to asp/asp.net applications - purely and simply because they are different applications! Same as I can't set the value of a variable in the private space of another EXE file in normal Windows apps. I shall wait for a better answer.... In the meantime, I found an easier workaround in hardcodedly accessing the root path (of APP1) from the "inside" app (APP2). However, I do not find this as a valid deployment scenario, because it means the webmaster has bad security practices !!!
