Hi
Madnezz,
     Check [CSharpAndVB.NetComparison.htm] and [VB6ToVB.NetTransition.htm] for
clearing some doubts.
I do not agree with the statement that
VB.Net has very less similarity with VB6. I would say anybody with vb6
background will have an edge over ppl who learn VB.Net directly. However
vb6 guys may have to search a lot for the features that they found in vb6
right away .. most of them are removed like on error goto statements, which are
replaced with try.. catch blocks. It is just a matter of time to learn these
differences and get adjusted :) You have to understand that VB.Net is not next
version of VB6.. it is a new language altogether provided for easy
transition for VB6 guys to .Net world :)

Having tab over both VB.Net and C# is quite advisable. As you have knowledge
over VB6, I don't think it will take more than a month to learn the
basics and bit of advanced topics of VB.Net... all the best
:)

Hope that helps
    Have a great day :)
