So how can I write a chnage directory utility that works in cmd.exe ? I cant seem to
find any data on how to communicate a directory change to cmd.exe. The only approach
that seems to work is a shabby one - I have two batch files, one of which calls the
exe I write and alaso calls the second batch file. Now if exe generates the second
batch file to conatin a cd command, I could get the shell to change dirs. But this is
so corny... surely there must be a better way. I can understand that for any given
process their maynot be a ay to do this and that it should not be allowed in the first
place. But for the command shell, there should be mechanism provided. Rosh
