Any takers for the MOM? The meeting went well. I will post some pics soon, and you
will see that we are slowly getting an interested crowd together. We saw ASP.NET
fundamentals, some demos and VB.NET features. Next session has been fixed for the
24th April, 2004. We will have four sessions; 30 min each . Mr. JK will be back after
the MVP summit by then, we will have an update on that. Praseed Pai will walk us
through regular expressions. Roshan will talk about Managed Components and Siju C will
give a brief talk/demo on XML. Also some members suggested that we put up a short
summary of good articles that we read in our homepage, and people who are interseted
in it can go ahead and read the entire article. So every meeting we will have one
person talk about an article that he/she has read and found useful. This will be
called "Nutshell of the month" :) and will be a 5-10 min talk. It will also be put up
on our homepage. the old nutshell entries can be archived and maintained under some
link. I think this is something new and will be tried for the first time at our UG.
Praseed took the first "nutshell" at the previous UG. We also have started a
cochindotnet library. To start off INETA has provided us books on remoting, MCAD/MSCD
and 20 windows server 2003 eval cds. Prashanthi and Jayashankari of AICT will be in
charge of our library. [I hope I got you names right]. We are yet to work out details
regarding lending books, getting them back, no. of days etc. The eval cds will be
given to speakers if they are interested. If I have missed something, attendees feel
free to add to this mail. Members who want to listen to certain topics or want to
speak about some topics, mail them here. Cheers, Dolly
