We have the same problem with Sampson and Delilah! Esp with the licking of their feet...the doc gave me some prednisone for the days it gets really bad, and that def seems to help. Sampson will actually ask for a pill..he'll come up and start begging, so I have to go through the list..does he wanna play, does he want me to throw a toy, does he want me to scratch his back...when I ask him if he wants an itchy pill, he starts dancing and runs into the kitchen where the pills are...I'm very careful on giving them though...only if it's real bad...

I also got these capsules called 3-v caps, which have the fish oil in them, Vit A, D and E, and glycerin, cod liver oil... They come in a bottle of 60 tabs, and it's 1-2 tabs a day  http://www.1800petmeds.com/pselect.asp?LV=231&PG=3V%20Caps...Sampson wants absolutely nothing to do with them. I've tried doing the give it to him down the throat thing, breaking the capsule and squeezing it out on his food, his mouth...he absolutely hates it...Delilah on the other hand considers them a treat, and just takes the whole capsule and eats it that way! LOL!! I give her two a day. I also use a cortisone spray...less messier then the cream or gel, and it gives them an instant cooling relief esp when they start getting those hot spots..they immediately stop their chewing, bitting, scratching of the area whenever I spray it on them. And when I have them groomed, I make sure they use the gentle oatmeal shampoo and conditioner....this page here..http://www.1800petmeds.com/dog.asp?LV=68 has a whole lot of things you can use..they have the cortisone spray, although I got mine at Walmart I think, and they also have the cortisone pills, which here, they are soooo much cheaper then the ones i get at the vets....hope this helps...

same problem with my 'daisy' benedryl didn't work for her what spray
do you use?  I also was told to try fish oil and lamb food.  Lamb
food helps but summer is bad.  She hates just to walk on the grass
especially in the morning when its wet with dew.
