Thank you so much for responding!! Yup, your routine sounds like mine!! LOL!! What I've been doing is getting up and taking her out first thing in the morning to let her "take care of business"!! She's caught on really fast!! Then, I come back in feed her and play with her. We've been doing three meals, too.
I am going to have to look for those Charlie Bear Treats. I can visit Petco. There is a Trader Joe in my area, but it is a distance away. I tried the Iams Puppy Biscuits and she loves them. I break them in half or in fours, if necessary. She's adjusted to the crate really well. Initially, she did not want to be in there. But now, she's just fine. For the last couple of days, I go home on lunch break, take her out for a walk and feed her. I wish I lived closer. But, I have to do what I have to do. Everyone here is wonderfully helpful. I am thankful to have found this group... > > Some info on what I have done with Chloe.. > > Feeding - I feed Chloe 3 times a day.. Morning, Lunch and Dinner. After she eats, I wait about 20 minutes and then bring her outside. This has been a good strategy to avoid little accidents. Same deal with water. In the beginning, I wasn't doing this and then got the hang of it.... > > Snacks - I have been giving her Charlie Bear treats. You can find them at Petco and Trader Joes(not sure where you are from).. They are low calorie snacks and very small,. I have been using them when teaching her sit/stay/down..etc.. I have also given her pigs ears(which she loves). What I do is buy them in a bag and cut them into 3rds and give her one every day or 2. > > I also have Chloe in a crate while I am out of the house at work. I live only 5 minutes from work so I always come home at lunch to let her out. I found that turning on the radio or having a sound machine really keeps her calm. At first she was very whiny when in the crate but it has gotten better. I also have a small towel inside the crate and also one on top of it.. > > Good Luck with your poo.. :) Hope that helps! > > > > browniemiss <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I am sooooooooo glad that I found this group.
