Hi,
I have a question, Benji is nine days since surgery and has taken clavamox twice a day, since, never missed a dose, he is still passing blood, not a lot but, still bleeding, he also pees in his bed, when he gets up in the morning he is wet, he is kept in a 3ft X 6ft playpen at night, so has plenty of room to get up and pee.  I called the vet, and he said to wait until he finished the anitbiotic, then we will see, well he is almost done with the round of antibiotic and he is still bleeding, not every time he pees, but more than I think he should, is this normal after surgery.  The vet flushed his bladder.  I just don't understand, I guess I expected him to get better after having surgery, maybe I am to impatient.

Subject: [cockapoo] treatment for Benji

stick my nose in here and question which antibiotic is being used.  many vets use the wrong antibiotic just for not knowing the best most current treatment for a serious UTI.  he may need cipro and for at least a month not a week of something lesser.

you may also want to add cranberry capsules ( a natural helper )

and has the vet checked for stones?
even the best miss something out of their area of expertise
