Connie...I also have a dog with urolythiasis, but fortunately we were able to avoid surgery...she did have blood in her urine though for quite awhile...but with Benji, he is just a puppy and like a baby has no control over his bladder just yet, esp just coupled with having surgery. Give him time to heal. And hopefully the blood will stop soon...Val

I have a question, Benji is nine days since surgery and has taken clavamox twice a day, since, never missed a dose, he is still passing blood, not a lot but, still bleeding, he also pees in his bed, when he gets up in the morning he is wet, he is kept in a 3ft X 6ft playpen at night, so has plenty of room to get up and pee.  I called the vet, and he said to wait until he finished the anitbiotic, then we will see, well he is almost done with the round of antibiotic and he is still bleeding, not every time he pees, but more than I think he should, is this normal after surgery.  The vet flushed his bladder.  I just don't understand, I guess I expected him to get better after having surgery, maybe I am to impatient.
