Hi again Rita, Crate training is pretty simple. You want to buy a crate that is only big enough for her to stand up in and turn around. If it is too big, so will go to the bathroom in one corner, and sleep in the other. We chose a travel crate so we can use it for trips too, but you can chose a metal one as well. We put a blanket on the bottom and a favorite toy to keep him busy. Anytime we were not able to be with him, we put him in there......while we slept, ran errands, cleaning the upstairs bathroom. each time we put him in there we gave him a treat, and then each time we took him out, we put him right outside in the spot where he always seems to go to the bathroom. Before long he completely caught on, had no problem going into the crate, and went to the bathroom each time I took him out. In the begginning, I would wake up once in the middle of the night to let him out, since there bladders can only hold for a few hours in the beginning. Now he is 5 months and sleeps completely through the night, and for 5 hours while I am at work. He never went to the bathroom in his crate because they wont do that where they have to sleep. Good luck with everything, and I would be glad to help with any questions you have. I was in the same place as you just a few months ago. (also, make sure to provide plenty of toys for her to chew. the vet reccommended bully bones for us, and he chose them all the time!! I never like to leave him bored so he wont chew up any furniture. Its been great) I can't wait to check out your pics. I still have to put some up of Paulie! Melissa

Your Paulie sounds adorable. I posted pics of my new pup in the photo section. Rita --- In [email protected], "mndemorro" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Hi Rita!! Congratulations on your new puppy!!
