Well with my 4 none are prone to infections, the oldest 2 are 8 and the

I was told by a pet store owner that corn meal in dog food as the  first/main 
ingredient isn't a good idea because it can contribute to allergies  and 
skin/ear problems.  Anyone else heard
this one?

Corn should never be the first ingredient in any food, yes corn can  
contribute to allergies as some are allergic to it.  Corn is difficult to  
digest in 
the dog as it also with us.
