I think adding a cockapoo would be great....particularly if looking for a "lap"
dog. My Rocco will not sit on the floor he must be touching us, so our laps
are the perfect place, plus we can't move without moving him, so he knows we
can't leave w/o him knowing.
I would love to add a labradoodle to my family, but my husband would
definitely kill or divorce me...haha Rocco just loves bigger dogs...he isn't a
fan of those his own size or smaller...when I take him to daycare the
caregivers say he attaches himself to another dog larger than himself and that
is his buddy for the day. Rocco is a black and tan, there are pictures under
Punky Monkey on the site.
I am not sure of a good time to add another, but since you are house training
already what is it to add another at the same time to train and get it over
with. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!! Post a pic of your labradoodle if you can.

Okay, I'm crazily considering getting a cockapoo. Why crazy? Because
I just got a labradoodle less than two months ago! I was looking for a
cockapoo but the labradoodle kind of fell into our laps. We LOVE her
so much! However, she's already 35 lbs. and not a lap dog. I'd love
to add a chocolate or black boy to our lives. A little cuddle bug. I
know Sadie would love it too...she loves other dogs like no other.
My question is, when is a good time to add another dog/puppy? I'm not
thinking of doing it in the next few months, in fact, possibly not for
a year or more.
If my husband knew I was even thinking about it, he'd put me away, lol.
I homeschool my 10 year old son, so our dog gets plenty of attention
all day long. Two or three walks a day. Loads of play time. She's
kind of spoiled ;o)
I figure we went from having no dog, ever, to having Sadie. How much
harder could one more dog be??
I also have two grown daughters who live at home with us. Anyway,
please tell me I'm not totally crazy. If anyone here has a labradoodle
and a cockapoo, I'd love to hear from you. Any suggestions are greatly
appreciated! Nice to "meet" you all. Julie
