Use the debugger, then. How does it crash? In the debugger, what's the backtrace? What's the value of 'movie' at the time of the call? Does it look valid?What's the value of 'clipMovieView' at the time of the call? Does it look valid? Does "po clipMovieView" print the description of the view, or does it fail?
Answering those questions should give you a better idea about what's going on.
