Huh? I thought CoreData only worked with sqlite (and XML files.)

I don't think there's any reason to use it with a database server, since CoreData has no multi-user support. (It caches rows as objects, and if another client modifies the database, you'll need to implement some mechanism to find out which rows changed and tell CoreData to flush the corresponding objects.)
