Almost forgot.... additionally, you have to call the Cancel method before checking resumeData, otherwise it's nil.

If the response header does not include an ETag, NSURLDownload will always return a nil resumeData.

I am experimenting with the resume functionality in NSURLDownload, however I
always get nil back when I call resumeData. I have tried a couple of
different sites and then tried using wget to get the files. wget resumes the
files fine, so I think I am doing something wrong.
This is the code in question, which is a modification of the Downloader
example supplied by Apple:

download = [[WebDownload alloc] initWithRequest:[NSURLRequest
requestWithURL:URL]
delegate:self];

[download setDeletesFileUponFailure:NO];

resumeData = [download resumeData];

if (resumeData == nil)

{

NSLog(@"No resume data :(");

}

Any suggestions?

thanks,
Andrew
