Forgive the clueless newbie question if it's been asked and answered previously.

I am new to the Cocoa development platform, and have not seen what I'm looking for. So I hope I can get good pointers from this list.

I am developing an app that is console driven, but not the standard BASH console one would get from the Terminal App in the Applications/ Utilities folder.

A standard console does something like: Read a command line, write one or lines of output back to the console.

I have not seen any kind of Cocoa or class that does this sort of thing.

Under normal circumstances, this could easily be done using the console application framework. Occasionally, however, there will be a need to throw up a graphics window. If creating a graphics window is possible within the confines of the console framework, then I guess my problem is solved.

If not, can anyone recommend a or technique, class, or other that will accomplish what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

Bill
