There will always be unforeseen circumstances. Better safe than sorry, right?

Just because an app *may* stop responding doesn't mean it's crap or full of bugs. It's good that the developer is aware that he isn't perfect and might miss something. All sorts of applications have crashed or stopped responding on me. I wouldn't say many of them were crap and full of bugs.
