Okay, well, if you don't feel like fixing up MAKeyedArchver, you could take a look at the archivers in the Cocotron project. http://cocotron.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/Foundation/NSKeyedArchiving/ These are probably trying to use the same on-disk format as Cocoa's version.
