Hello Peter, I found this mention of the Window menu in the reference documentation: <http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/WinPanel/Tasks/UsingWindowsMenu.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/20000231-SW1> It sounds like you can manually mess with the Windows menu by setting setExcludedFromWindowsMenu:YES on each window you control and then manually adding/deleting items for the windows via [[NSApplication sharedApplication] addWindowsItem:title:filename: ] or [[NSApplication sharedApplication ] removeWindowsItem:]. hth....
