In addition to what Ricky said, note that Apple apps occupy a place of special privilege on the iPhone, and can do a lot more than what our apps can do. For example, Apple apps have been able to multitask since the very beginning, and are still able to do so without the limitations imposed on third-party apps by iOS 4 multitasking. There are many other examples. So, unfortunately, that an Apple app can do it doesn't mean anything for whether we can do it too.
