This is an unfortunate bug, but you should be able to work around it with this
sequence:
[[NSApplication sharedApplication] hide: nil];
ProcessSerialNumber psn = {0, kCurrentProcess};
verify_noerr(TransformProcessType(&psn,
kProcessTransformToForegroundApplication));
[[NSApplication sharedApplication]
activateIgnoringOtherApps:YES];
