Thanks Steve, that's promising, most likely something wrong in my
NSURLConnection code then, or the way I call it.

I don't think there's anything trailing in the JSON content, there really
isn'tt much in there his is the api server code:

<?php
    header("Content-Type: application/json; charset=UTF-8");
       $link = mysql_connect('localhost','[USERNAME','[PASSWORD') or die
(mysql_error($link));
        mysql_query("SET NAMES 'utf8'");
        mysql_select_db('[DB NAME') or die('Can't select database');
        $query = "SELECT * FROM `[TABLE NAME]` ORDER BY `date` DESC LIMIT 0,
100";
        $result = mysql_query($query) or die('ERROR EXECUTING QUERY
'.mysql_error($link));

         $TaxNotes = array();

         while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) {
                $UserName = $row['username'];
                $DossierName = $row['dossierName'];
            $Text = $row['text'];
            $date = new DateTime($row['date']);
                        $Date = $date->format('d.m.Y');
            $Hyperlink = $row['hyperlink'];
            $Title = $row['title'];
            $PictureURL = $row['pictureUrl'];

           $Note = array(
                "username" => $UserName,
                "dossiername" => $DossierName,
                "text" => $Text,
                "date" => $Date,
                "link" => $Hyperlink,
                "title" => $Title,
                "pictureUrl" => $PictureURL
                 );

                array_push($TaxNotes, $Note);
            }
            $object = new stdClass();
                    $object->items = $TaxNotes;
            echo json_encode($object);
?>
