I currently do not see the problem of business analysts screwing up business
logic or style, but I would not want this to happen either ;) Deny
authors direct
access to the plain XML but give them a customizable word-processing-like
editor like SoftQuads XMetaL or Arbortext Epic and customize these editors
so that they have buttons like "Insert Link to barchart" or "Insert
current stock
results". Supply them with middleware which prevents their direct access to
Cocoon2-controlled paths or files in any way, for example a commercial CMS.
[okay, these products are expensive but the learning curve for the business
analyst will be the benefit. In case anyone knows quality Java-based open
source alternative, please let me know.]
Get the CMS to copy the needed content to Cocoon2-controlled paths
and files, finally process the resulting valid XML documents of business
analysts
via Cocoon2, transform the documents and by this seperately add business
code
and style.
What am I missing that might screw such a setup ?
