nice idea, maybe when I finish the current the features I could add that as
another type of view, so that the user can switch between the tree view, the
graph view, and possible text view.

It is indeed concepted as a generic XML editor, which (at the moment) should
be usable for any xml-format that only stores information in attributes
(e.g. most parts of the cocoon sitemap, ant build files, ...).
My plans are to keep working on it next week (if nothing comes in between),
clean-up, write some javadoc and some design notes, and then post a new
version.
