I'm not subscribed to cocoon-user at this moment and i'm not prepared
for 2 high volumen mailing list on my mailbox, sorry , better here :),

> What do you mean by "using ab"?
ab is a performance utility apache has on *ix systems is a quick way to
make 10000 request with a concurrency of 5 simultaneous request, and
obtain some numbers from tests, from my own tests, over hello.html in
Coocon2 using "ab -n10000 -c5 http://localhost:8080/cocoon/hello.html"
was served without any appreciable memory leaks and without high
consumption ( raised to 40 mb and stable from then ), and with a more
than rasonable performance.., try and look at it, you will be happy :)
sure... all of this with the Tomcbat's standalone server.., not tested
behind IIS or Apache.., but numbers will be more or less the same..
perhaps little worse.. i'm triying to add some numbers to my
affirmations..;) stay tuned..
