Simeon,
Cocoon.java (and other files too) have line which reads
* @version CVS $Revision: 1.9.2.11 $ $Date: 2001/07/17 10:10:39 $
You need revision number.
Check versions of your Cocoon.java, HttpRequest.java, and also Request.java.
