Hi folks, just to let you know that the Belgian and Dutch 'Scoot' website, a yellow pages site quite popular in Europe, just went into a softlaunch (which means the thing is running concurrently with the old version of the site). Unix-flavor OS, 1G RAM, Apache, ajp12+lb, 2 Tomcat instances & Oracle server humming along nicely on 2 physical boxes http://be.scootv2.be/ - the URL will eventually change to http://www.scoot.be/ and http://www.scoot.nl/ (and yes, most of the stuff is either Dutch or Franch :-) The SQLTransformer contributions & many questions from Sven Beauprez & Jan Uyttenhove (previously The E-corporation, now http://www.xume.be) and the neat component pooling problem solution amongst various other load- and bug-related issues from Tom Klaasen (previously The E-corp, now http://www.telerelay.be) all led to this. This project, successfully completed in only three months by a small team, had never been possible without Cocoon2. So cheers to you all & consider this to be an ideal business case if you still need to convince someone on the power of C2 for publishing-oriented & database driven websites. Bye for now, </Steven> (previously The E-corp, now http://outerthought.org/) ps. yes, something has happened with our company ;-) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
