New people are reading that page first and are moving away because of certain statements there (because they are used to read IBM or MS product pages):
On the http://xml.apache.org/cocoon2 page we say that "This documentation is alpha, so don't expect that much." but we should reduce this negative statement now to something like "This documentation might not be totally complete". Also we say there "If you are not a developer and you are not willing to test new stuff that may not work as expected, we suggest you to refer to the latest Cocoon 1 release which is very stable." but I don't think we should encourage people to still move on to 1.8.x because: 1. we don't have any version 1 developers/knowledge here ATM to support people taking the 1.8 way as suggested on the page. 2. version 2.0 is stable enought to encourage people to stay. 3. the user lists shows that there are many people/knowledge there to help new people to start. Don't you agree?
