I'm surprised the Mozilla leap is new to you, since Mozilla is one of the biggest and well known XML client technology in open source. I always thought Cocoon is the Java XML server technology and Mozilla the C++ XML Web client. I'm developing on Linux and going with Mozilla since the early days of the beginning.
