Berin,

We should use Gump as an early warning system. The C2 HEAD build has been broken since 
14th of
this month due to this Avalon Excalibur problem (See
http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/gump/2001-11-14/xml-cocoon2.html). We should not wait 
this
long....Especially for the HEAD.
