I landed in this same situation other day, wherein xconf had caching pipeline defined but when I checked log file(s) it showed nonchaching pipeline getting initialized.
On cheching the source found that in sitemap.roles by default following is defined, <role name="org.apache.cocoon.components.pipeline.StreamPipeline" shorthand="stream-pipeline" default-class="org.apache.cocoon.components.pipeline.NonCachingStreamPip eline"/> <role name="org.apache.cocoon.components.pipeline.EventPipeline" shorthand="event-pipeline" default-class="org.apache.cocoon.components.pipeline.NonCachingEventPipe line"/> On changing this to CachingStreamPipeline and CachingEventPipeline respectively the cache started working like a gem. Atleast this did the trick for me, hope it does for you. --Amir -----Original Message----- From: giacomo [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, December 06, 2001 1:08 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: Bug reports On Thu, 6 Dec 2001, Gerhard Froehlich wrote: > >From: Stefano Mazzocchi [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > > > > > >I'm finally getting my hand dirty again with the CVS HEAD. > > > > > >8) the cache-dir is always empty. I got nothing in the cache-dir, too. What could be the cause?
