Yes, but this "more" means that we aim to allow GPL-ed software to be able to include ASFL-ed software. The other way around is impossible by design for the GPL and strongly disliked for LGPL-ed java stuff because of possible issues with dynamic linking. The only "legal" way seems to be that of using complete reflection based calls to the API, but that would be a performance trouble to say the least. Anyway, as Ken pointed out to me privately, there is a legally-compatible implementation of a CVS protocol stack for netbeans. > Is that going to help here? No, not for JCVS, but the netbeans code is fully compatible being the license the sun version of the Mozilla Public License. > reckon ASF is not going to 'dual' licence its code? Nop. The ASF members agree that dual licensing is, at the very least, asking for legal trouble down the road. And normally, a legal hack made by developers to go around license restrictions targetted to lawyers which real legal implication they don't really understand. Anyway, the netbeans code removes all our legal problems anyway. -- Stefano Mazzocchi One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star. <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Friedrich Nietzsche -------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
